November Home Sales Continue to Increase

Home sales have continued to increase in the Greater Nashville area last month. According to the Greater Nashville Association of REALTORS®, in the month of November, 2,287 home closings were reported to be up 4 percent from the same period last year.

There was an 18.9 percent increase for year-to-date closings from 23,950 sales in November 2012 to 28,476 this year. The total number of closings through November in 2013 already exceeds the total closings for all of last year with one full month to go.

GNAR President Price Lechleiter stated, “2013 has been a year of meaningful improvement for home sales. With more than 2,000 sales pending the Greater Nashville area is well on its way to 30,000 closings for the year. These signs are welcome as we begin to look toward 2014.” Lechleiter believes that November’s home sales are evidence that the city of Nashville will continue to see growth throughout the New Year.
